Pig Me

A poor pig escapes from the butcher’s claws just to find himself in horrible surroundings. Fortunately, he’ll find a refuge in a little pet shop… Fortunately?

Pig Me is a short film by five students of Animation Workshop: Mette Tange, Israel Hernanadez, Ditte Gade, Marie-Louise Højer Jensen, Rebecca Bang Sørensen.

It reminds me of that scene at the beginning of 101 Dalmatians. And it is as good as that!

Something Left, Something Taken

Hey there! Pardon the little break. I thought I could start the week with this “animated dark comedy about a vacationing couple’s encounter with a man they believe to be the Zodiac Killer.” I guess that happens at least once to everyone of us.

Something Left, Something Taken is an awesome and crafty animated short film created by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata AKA Tiny Inventions. Be warned: every time you’ll blink your eyes, you lose something cool.

The brief was simply to create an ident that referenced nature in some way. They took inspiration from geography text book style illustrations to develop a surreal 3D world based around the logo, threw in a few oversize animals… and bingo.
