The Moulettes – Devil Of Mine

The Moulettes is a folk band from Brighton, London, comprised of Hannah Miller, Ruth Skipper, Ollie Austin, Roberto Arcari and Georgina Leach.

Devil Of Mine is featured on their first album entitled, as you might have guessed, The Moulettes and released on August 2010.

Circus: The Human Projectile

A bittersweet portrait of a nostalgic man.

The Human Projectile is the pilot episode of Circus, a stop motion animated series where the main attractions of a traveling circus get stuck in an unfamiliar place.

While their efforts to leave become more and more desperate, they slowly realise that the surroundings are influenced by strange powers.

The short film is the work of Hylas Film, that is: Philipp Halfmann, Benjamin Lützow, Michael Amstad, Dominik Mader.

Qua – Devil Eyes

Here’s another sprite animation by Paul Robertson. It reminds us that we’ll live forever in the heart of those who loved us. And/or that ultra violence and ultra cute characters mix very well.

Qua is electronic musician Cornel Wilczek. Devil Eyes is a track on his 2007 album Painting Monsters On Clouds.

InCulto is a Lithuanian music band comprised of Jurgis Didžiulis, Aurelijus Morlencas, Sergej Makidon, Jievaras Jasinskis and Laurynas Lapė.

Welcome is a single released in 2006 and then featured on their 2007 album Marijos Žemės Superhitai, released for Bomba Records.

Hey there! Pardon the little break. I thought I could start the week with this “animated dark comedy about a vacationing couple’s encounter with a man they believe to be the Zodiac Killer.” I guess that happens at least once to everyone of us.

Something Left, Something Taken is an awesome and crafty animated short film created by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata AKA Tiny Inventions. Be warned: every time you’ll blink your eyes, you lose something cool.

KIRSTEN LEPORE – Sweet Dreams

Here’s an amazing stop animated short film, made almost entirely with real food, that will entertain you while trying to open your mind to things such as trying to open your mind. The short film is the work of Kirsten Lepore, her thesis movie at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

The tale is that of a stalwart cupcake yearning to find something beyond his world of sugar cube skyscrapers and frosting-covered friends. When his makeshift boat crashes on foreign shores, he makes a shocking discovery that changes him forever.
