DONATO SANSONE – Videogioco

Who said that experimental animation is boring? Here’s an uber-funny piece that has gone wildly viral. It’s an airplane? It’s a flipbook? It’s Superman? Yes, all of these things.

The short has been conceived and animated by Donato Sansone. Sound Design: Enrico Ascoli.

You might have seen another video of them which is not where you saw it anymore, but I hope it’ll soon be there again, you know what I mean…

Rapa Nui

The short movie – the work of Florian Belmonte, Chloé Bonnet, Cyrille Chauvin, Gaëlle Diot and Eleonora Marinoni, students of LISAA – offers an improbable as well as picturesque explanation for the moai monoliths, the giant stone heads to be found on Easter Island.

I’m about to read about the rise and fall of the Rapa Nui society in Jared Diamond’s Collapse (great book, so far) but it’s nice to see the story from a different point of view.

Dragon Age: Sacred Ashes

For those who use to think that the Sean Connery voiced beast from Dragonheart was the dumbest dragon ever (this could be an idea for a Facebook group…), here’s finally a serious new candidate for the title.

Dragon Age, is a computer role playing game developed by BioWare. It will be published by Electronic Arts on November 2009.

The cinematic animation should be the work of Blur Studio, even though at the moment I can’t be 100% sure of this. Will update when possible.
