Newport Beach Film Festival: 10th of a Century

Imo dalla Columbia! Imo!!!

Newport Beach Film Festival: Tenth of a Century - MPEG-4 clip
A nice clip with “strangely similar aesthetic of studio titles — like Hollywood with a dramatic twist — that welcomes viewers to Newport Beach and their 10th annual celebration of film with wit and charm.”

I recognized: Paramount (stars and mountain), RKO (the little antenna on the mountain), Tristar (Pegasus), Spyglass (the guy with the telescope), Dreamworks (the kid on the moon), Buena Vista (the palace), Jerry Bruckheimer Films (the struck tree) and obviously 20th Century Fox.

The festival trailer was directed by Andy Hall and produced Jenny Bright at Elastic. Executive producer: Alex Gorodetzki.

Visual effects produced by Jenny Bright at A52. Executive producer: Linda Carlson. Colorist: Patrick Murphy.

Computer Graphics: Kirk Shintani and Max Ulichney. 3D Artists: Adam Newman, Paulo de Almada, Christopher Janney.

Sound designed and produced by: Douglas Darnell at Robot Repair. Music composer: Karl Alden. Audio mixed by Ken Dahlinger at Framework Sound.

Creative agency: RPA, Santa Monica. Creatives: David Smith, Scott McDonald. Executive Producer: Gary Paticoff.

P.S. The kid passing before the moon could be a reference to Amblin, and the topiary lamp could be Pixar’s Luxo.

Prod. esecutivo: Alex Gorodetzki.

Effetti visivi prodotti da Jenny Bright presso A52. Prod. esecutivo: Linda Carlson. Colore: Patrick Murphy.

Computer grafica: Kirk Shintani e Max Ulichney. Artisti del 3D: Adam Newman, Paulo de Almada e Christopher Janney.

Progetto e produzione sonora: Douglas Darnell presso Robot Repair. Musica composta da: Karl Alden. Mix audio: Ken Dahlinger presso Framework Sound.

Agenzia creativa: RPA di Santa Monica. Creativi: David Smith, Scott McDonald. Produttore esecutivo: Gary Paticoff.

P.S. Il ragazzino che passa davanti la luna potrebbe rifersi ad Amblin, e la siepe a forma di lampada potrebbe essere Luxo di Pixar.

There are lots of interesting points in this post but I don’t know if I am in agreement with them all. There is certainly some validity but I shall hold my thoughts and opinions until I investigate it more. Good piece, thanks and i want more! Added to FeedBurner also

Hopefully people will take this knowledge and actually do something about it. It’s always such a tragedy when individuals do not use good information to make a difference.
