Image Leeching

If I could bare with kids using images as avatars on social networks, these bots that build pseudo-porn websites ravaging Google Images are more than I can deal.

New rule: linking to images (jpg, bmp, png and gif files) hosted on is only allowed from this website.

If you have difficulties with the new settings or you want your site to be added as an exception, let me know in the comments.

UPDATE: added Feedburner to the exceptions. Sorry my dear feeders.

UPDATE2: fixed a bug that blocked almost any file in an unpredictable way.

UPDATE3: added Google and Mefeedia to the exceptions. Other syndicating sites will be added as soon as my error log grows.

UPDATE4: In fact, in the previous update I added Google Reader, as requested in the comments. Modified that rule to (try and) match any Google domain and application.

Is this why I don’t see any images any more when viewing NFC from Google Reader? Bummer. :(

Good. I was sure the missing images would show in the error log file. I was wrong. Got to wait for the complete daily report.
