| Carlo Fruttero and Franco Lucentini, editors of the Italian science fiction magazine Urania, used to say that an UFO would never land in Lucca.
But that’s exactly what happens here! Well, in fact it’s not just an UFO, it’s Ufo Robo Grendizer! Directed by Paolo Lamanna, the short film is a no profit project produced at C4D Team Animation Studio. Presented at Lucca Comics and Games 2008 to celebrate Go Nagai and the 30th anniversary of Grendizer in Italy. Storyboard, background and textures: Paolo Lamanna. Robots restyled by Giorgio Picciau. Animation and rigging: Pasquale Lanzieri. Live action shoot by Stefano Berti and Fabio Bianchini. Location and photography: Luca Bitonte. Original soundtrack: Grendizer Returns, by Andrea Maceroni. Ma è proprio quello che succede qui! Che poi non è un UFO qualsiasi, ma UFO Robot Goldrake! Diretto da Paolo Lamanna, il corto è un progetto no profit prodotto presso il C4D Team Animation Studio. Questo non è un minimovie: è pura poesia! Goldrake torna sulla terra e lo fa proprio in italia!!!! Per piacere, diteci che c’è un seguito: non lo fate morire come tutti quei bei progetti in rete che poi non hanno nessun futuro!
Nelle nostre previsioni c’è spazio per fare altro sicuramente, occorre solo tempo e le giuste risorse per andare avanti (ricordiamo la natura No Profit del progetto! :-)) ma credo di poter dire che una base l’abbiamo e fare un successivo passo verrà meno in salita.
