“A hyper condensed journey through live action, 3D, animation and hand crafted sequences.” It’s basically a title sequence for every science fiction movie ever made.

The ident for Sci-Fi Movies is part of a graphic package developed by creative agency Dixon Baxi which includes shorter idents and more. Check it out here.

The one minute spot is a collaboration between Dixon Baxi and motion graphic artist Christopher Hewitt. Sound design by Hecq.

“Un viaggio ipercondensato attraverso scene dal vivo, 3D, animazione e sequenze artigianali.” In pratica è la sigla per ogni film di fantascienza mai prodotto…

L’ID per Sci-Fi Movies fa parte di un pacchetto grafico sviluppato dalla agenzia creativa Dixon Baxi che include ID più brevi e molto altro. Date un’occhiata qui.

Ah SciFi Channel. Such potential. Such a disappointment. Their best work is the CGI they produce in-house, like this channel-film introduction and the What If? advertisements.

As the only channel dedicated to Science Fiction on American cable, you’d think it would be impossible to let down the SciFi fans. Sadly, they seem to have no taste for the genre. There is better SciFi on the Cartoon Network, during their Adult Swim late night programming, with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and others. One wonders what the network heads are doing, by putting Scare Tactics and Ghost Hunters on during Prime Time.

There is so many great Science Fiction shows, both old gems and undiscovered indie works, that it is a crime SciFi Channel panders to the masses with the same drivel as other network channels.

I think I speak for may Science Fiction fans when I say, “Thank goodness for the Internet.”
