Toyota: Harmony

Why not?

Toyota: Harmony - MPEG-4 clip
In this spot, part of the Why Not campaign, a brand new car is built and then decays into the natural set of the Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.

The protected environment didn’t allow the crew to use other materials than those found on the place. Also, the look of time-lapse photography has been recreated to give the impressione that a long timespan passed.

Director Erich Joiner says: “Between every frame, the whole art department and Bob [co-director Bob Richardson] and I would run in and move even little blades of grass about a half-inch, so that it jittered around like time-lapse photography.” (Source: ‘boards)

The spot has been produced at Tool of North America for creative agency Dentsu America, Inc. Director of photography: Bob Richardson.

Visual effects by Rob Legato at The Basement. Additional visual effects by: R!ot and Nice Shoes. Editor was Hal Honigsberg at Chrome Editorial.

Audio designed by Josh Abbey at Color Sound Post Production and mixed by Jeff Payne and Jeff Fuller at Eleven Sound.

The song is Hometime by One eskimO. The official website has a obnovious, celebrative and uninformative making of video. If you’re interested, just head yourself to ‘boards and read Technically Organic.

And for something similar: Cake.

(Fonte: ‘boards)
