Pictoplasma: Characters in Motion

Yet another amazing piece from Tomás Garcia (director) and Fernando Sarmiento (Compositing and Camera) at PepperMelon, this time in the form of a trailer for the Pictoplasma Animation Festival. The short is all about the good old character design. The characters (designed by Juan Molinet) are then recreated with ink into a tank of water. Fluid and unstable, like creativity. Sound design by David Kamp. NOTE: This version differs from the one you probably have seen around (including my posts on Ticklebooth and MandC) for the lack of coloring and infographics. And I obviously like it more than the "purple" one.

Ancora un altro stupendo pezzo di Tomás Garcia (regia) e Fernando Sarmiento (riprese e composizione) presso PepperMelon, questa volta in forma di trailer per il Pictoplasma Animation Festival. Il corto si basa tutto sul buon vecchio disegno. I personaggi (disegnati da Juan Molinet) sono poi ricreati usando inchiostro in una vasca d'acqua. Fluido ed instabile, come la creatività. Progetto del suono: David Kamp. NOTA: Questa versione differisce da quella che avrete visto in giro (esempio: i miei post su Tickle e MandC) per la mancanza di colorazione ed infografica finali. E come è ovvio, mi piace molto più di quella "viola".
