Taking Liberties: Habeas Corpus

In common law, habeas corpus is the name of a legal action or writ by means of which detainees can seek relief from unlawful imprisonment.

Taking Liberties is a book, and now a motion picture, written by Chris Atkins, which examines the British government’s systematic erosion of civil liberties since 1997 thru sometimes shocking, always true, real life stories.

Several animated sequences have been realized by Simon Robson (of What Barry Says fame) for the movie.

This one focuses on habeas corpus, a device that, is some legislations, guarantees that citezens were not subject to detention without charge.

Questa parla dello habeas corpus, dispositivo legale che, in alcuni sistemi garantisce ai cittadini che non siano soggetti a detenzione in assenza di accuse.

    That was an awesome video I just watched about Habeas Corpus. I was really impressed with it and I was able to understand it clearly. Do more!
