Shibaura Island

I wish I could read Japanese, but I can’t. Nevertheless, this short movie by Koichi Iguchi and Takeshi Yoon, deserves to be seen.

Within a peaceful scene, where the sound of a boiling kettle intermingles with that of a child practicing piano, something unusual is unfolding. [Source: Japan Media Arts Festival]

A piece of white paper is presented as a protagonist. It begins as a piece of normal paper on a table; but from this casual prelude, develops unexpected movement.

Vorrei poter leggere il giapponese, ma non posso. Nonostante ciò, questo corto di Koichi Iguchi e Takeshi Yoon, merita la visione.

In una scena tranquilla, dove il suono di una teiera che bolle si mescola con quello di un bimbo che fa pratica col piano, qualcosa di insolito si “svolge”. [Fonte: Japan Media Arts Festival]

Come protagonista è presentato un pezzo di carta bianco. Comincia come un normale pezzo di carta su un tabolo; ma da questo preludio casuale nascono movimenti inattesi.
