The director, Kosaï Sekine, graduated in philosophy at the Sophia University in Tokyo. The same year, 2000, he signed to Hat Co. Ltd. to become a director. In 2005, Right Place was selected for the short film showcase on the theme Fear No Change, that was held at the Asia-Pacific Advertising Festival and was reported by shots as the film most highly praised from the audience at the venue.
