KANYE WEST – Heard `em Say

Hurts, but it might be the only way.

KANYE WEST: Heard 'em Say - MPEG-4 clip
This is the third (and last?) music video for this song, if we count the “In-Studio live” version together with the one animated by Bill Plympton that you can try to watch here!

This clip is directed by our beloved Michel Gondry and produced by Partizan. The stop animation is provided by Peter Sluszka of Hornet Inc. who previously teamed with Gondry on videos like Walkie Talkie Man and A Ribbon. He also worked with PES on some ads like Coinstar. Post produced at The Mill.

Following the excessive video for The White StripesThe Denial Twist, this time Gondry decide to take it simple. We follow some children going around an empty megastore, along with Kanye West which is supposed to be… their father?

The song features the voice of Adam Levine (lead singer of the Maroon 5) who appears in the video as a surveillance man that tries (invain) to let the kids out of the store.

The part he sings is actually recycled from the song Nothing Lasts Forever by Maroon 5, from their album It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. (Source: Wikipedia)

Released on December 2005, Heard’em Say is the third single out from Late Registration, the latest album by Kayne West. It contains a sample from Natalie Cole’s Someone That I Used to Love as written by Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. (Source: Wikipedia)

Post prodotto presso The Mill.

It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. (Fonte: Wikipedia)

(Fonte: Wikipedia)
