MINT ROYALE - Singin in the Rain

What a glorious feeling...

In the beginning it was the 1952 movie with Gene Kelly; you can watch the trailer here, if you wish. Then came the Golf GTI commercial, where the scene from the movie has been reshooted on a remix of the song and some new dance moves. You can watch the ad here, or download it here. The remix was done by Mint Royale, the house music project by Neil Claxton and Chris Baker. The song became so popular that they released it as a single on August 2005, and included it in their album See You in the Morning released for Faith & Hope. And finally, here's the music video, directed by Sam Brady, where a break-dancer is challenged by some robots made out of rubbish. Uhm... Well... Watch it!

In principio era il filme del '52 con Gene Kelly; potete guardarne il trailer qui, se volete. Poi venne lo spot della Golf GTI, dove la scena del film e' stata rifatta su un remix della canzone e con nuovi passi di danza. Lo spot potete guardarlo qui, oppure scaricarlo da qua. Il remix e' opera di Mint Royale, progetto house music di Neil Claxton e Chris Baker. La canzone divenne cosi' popolare che il gruppo l'ha fatta uscire come singolo nell'agosto 2005, includendola nel loro ultimo album See You in the Morning uscito per Faith & Hope. E infine, il video, diretto da Sam Brady, dove un break-dancer viene sfidato da alcuni robot autocreatisi dalla spazzatura... Beh... E' meglio se lo guardate!!!
