Pig Me

A poor pig escapes from the butcher’s claws just to find himself in horrible surroundings. Fortunately, he’ll find a refuge in a little pet shop… Fortunately?

Pig Me is a short film by five students of Animation Workshop: Mette Tange, Israel Hernanadez, Ditte Gade, Marie-Louise Højer Jensen, Rebecca Bang Sørensen.

It reminds me of that scene at the beginning of 101 Dalmatians. And it is as good as that!

Un povero maialino scappa agli artigli del macellaio solo per trovarsi in paraggi poco ospitali. Per buona sorte, trova asilo in un negozio di animali… Per buona sorte?

Pig Me è un corto di cinque studenti di Animation Workshop: Mette Tange, Israel Hernanadez, Ditte Gade, Marie-Louise Højer Jensen, Rebecca Bang Sørensen.

It’s hard to resist temptations. Especially when you see no reason to do so. Not that this has something to do with the video…

The Moulettes is a folk band from Brighton, London, comprised of Hannah Miller, Ruth Skipper, Ollie Austin, Roberto Arcari and Georgina Leach.

Devil Of Mine is featured on their first album entitled, as you might have guessed, The Moulettes and released on August 2010.

The music video has been directed and edited by Thomas Goldser. Director of Photography: Anka Bogacz.

Yeasayer – Madder Red

We witness the final day of Bommel, a creature that looks like a fuzzy egg and lives with Kristen Bell in Mar Vista, California.

Yeasayer was previously here with Wait for the Summer. Madder Red is the third single from their album Odd Blood released on February 2010 for Secretly Canadian.

The music video has been produced at Streetgang and directed by Andreas Nilsson, recently here with Röyksopp’s Adventures in Barbieland.

The Human Projectile is a short film set in the world of Circus, a stop motion animated series (yet to be produced) where the main attractions of a traveling circus get stuck in an unfamiliar place.

While their efforts to leave become more and more desperate, they slowly realise that the surroundings are influenced by strange powers.

The short film, whose storyline stays on its own in respect of the series, is the work of Hylas Film, that is: Philipp Halfmann, Benjamin Lützow, Michael Amstad, Dominik Mader.

The Human Projectile è un corto ambientato nel mondo di Circus, una serie animata in stop motion (non ancora prodotta) dove le principali attrazioni di un circo sono bloccate in un posto sconosciuto.

Mentre i loro sforzi per uscirne diventano via via più disperati, lentamente si rendono conto che strani poteri sono all’opera nei dintorni.

For a Minor Reflection is a post-rock band from Reykjavík, Iceland, comprised of Kjartan Holm, Guðfinnur Sveinsson, Elvar Jón Guðmundsson, Andri Freyr Þorgeirsson.

A Moll is a song on their second album, entitled “Reistu þig við, sólin er komin á loft…” (which means “Rise and shine, the sun’s up”) and released in 2010.

The music video has been directed by Lorenzo Fonda (Cerberoleso), produced by Lanette Phillips and Catherine Berclaz at Mighty8.

In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.

“A social campaign based on Martin Niemöller’s famous dictum First they came… about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.”

I don’t think that those times are coming back, but I feel a rising wave of, not just xenophobia, but discrimination against everyone perceived as different. As Twain said, history doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.

The public service announcement has been directed by Florian Malak and produced at Moustache Films. Director of photography: Wojtek Zieliński.
